New Christ Church CofE, Reading

Modus was appointed by Diocese of Oxford to complete an extension to New Christ Church CofE Primary School, forming additional administrative space.

Works had been started by a contractor that unfortunately ceased trading before finishing the contract. Modus were then appointed to carry out the works, however the works were found to be substandard by building control and therefore we dismantled the construction back to foundation and constructed the extension to completion from there.

Works included completion of external envelope including flat roof, extension of services, internal finishes and fit out and external landscaping.

Works were carried out whilst the school were operational, we installed fences to segregate the school from the operational site, and with careful planning had to bring materials and waste out through the playground area when not in use by the school.
